New School Year...New Discoveries.
As I prepare for yet another school year with my children I am consumed by the possibilities. Just yesterday my six-year-old daughter learned how to tie her shoes...by herself... for the very first time. The expression on her face was like none other. She was beaming with pride. In addition, last week she read her very first book. SKY'S THE LIMIT........

what is it about weddings...
I went to a wedding last night for my best friend from college. He got to marry the most amazing woman and I had a super-ridiculously fun night with my "date" ...my sister and two complete strangers. They were two of the funniest people I have ever met. If it hadn't been for that wedding, that chance encounter, we might never have crossed paths. Thank you universe...THANK YOU :)
I haven't laughed that hard, for that long, in a LONG time. I'll give no details but this past year has been very hard for a multitude of reasons. Having fun last night washed that all away. Really it did. Moments like that renew my faith in life, love and serendipity.

Time Flies
I was just looking through some old pictures and found ones of me as a teenager. Then I thought...holy cow....I'm the mother of a teenager. How'd THAT happen???
My son is now 13. He'll be 14 in February...and he reminds me every day that he'll be driving soon!!! Too funny.
I have a 3 year old son and a soon-to-be 6 year old daughter too.
TIME FLIES. Enjoy every minute you have with them.

Another summer...over :(
As we come to a close on the summer of 2010 I only have one thing to say...I wanna break up with you.
I'm so over you.
Bring on 2011. This will be MY year. The year of cleaning house both literally & figuratively, starting anew, working out, reading more, trying new foods, working on ME and what makes me happy.
2011 will be a SLICE OF HEAVEN :)

- i am currently a SAHM of three beautiful children ages 15, 8 and 5 years. I've been married for eight years to my husband who works ridiculously hard (at being a PGA Pro in the golf industry) to provide a great life for me and our three children. He's tightly wound and I'm a loose cannon. he's a neat freak and i'm....well... let's just say...i'm not ;) it's the ol' ying and yang at work here :) i worked for over 10 years "in the field" as a civil servant/social worker. i worked in a juvenile detention center for 7 years and then did a 3 year stint at children & youth investigating physical & sexual child abuse cases. i have been home for the last five years and i can't say i miss working outside of the home that much. oh, i have my days where i yell out, "god i wish i was out at work and not here with these kids!!" mind you that doesn't happen much but when it does...ooooh lordy...pack yer bags boys, were goin' on a lil' guilt trip!!!! mommy guilt as i call it... is an evil, evil monster that rears it's ugly head and kicks me when I'm down. Damn that guilt.
